We’re Not Giving Up
State and national budget decisions are shifting, and they’ll have a real impact on food pantries and human services agencies - both across the country and here in Worthington.
Volunteer Spotlight: Worthington Christian Church
Volunteers from Worthington Christian Church have long been a meaningful part of the Worthington Resource Pantry family. For them, giving back is a natural expression of their faith.
Most Needed Items: April
Our shelves are looking a little light on protein and easy meals this month. So consider donating some peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken or soups. Smaller cans means we can offer it to more families. So bigger isn't always better when donating to the Pantry.
The Need Keeps Growing
In March, the Pantry served 2,960 families and a total of 11,872 neighbors. That’s 138,792 meals. That number isn’t just large - it’s part of a trend that has stretched on for more than a year and a half. It’s now been 19 consecutive months since we’ve served fewer than 10,000 people in a single month.
April Volunteer Spotlight
After retiring from a small school where she worked as a business manager, Susan Craig knew she wanted to give her time in a way that connected her directly with the community. She found that opportunity at the Pantry, where she volunteers as a shop assistant in the personal care section. It's a role that allows her to meet neighbors face-to-face and help them find exactly what they need.
Most Needed Items - February
Spread the word! Donating to the Worthington Resource Pantry is a great way to show some love to your neighbors this Valentine's Day!
Did you know that 1/3 of the food we share each month comes from donations from our supporters? And most of our peanut butter last year came from food drives and individual donations - from people like YOU.
So donate some most needed items yourself or in honor of your 'butter' half.
Holiday Season a Great Success
It was an amazing holiday season at the Worthington Resource Pantry!
We’re on the move!
You’ve probably heard the news by now: Worthington Resource Pantry is relocating! We’re excited to officially share that we’ll soon call 500 Schrock Road home. Over the last few years, our growth in neighbors served has been so significant that our current space just can’t keep up. This new facility will give us the room and resources we need to better serve our community - and we can’t wait to welcome you there.
Busiest November Ever
In November, we served 12,684 people from 3,096 families. Our Choice Pantry served 2,805 families and our Thanksgiving Distribution served 291.
Most Needed Items - December
1/3 of the food we share with our neighbors comes from donations and food drives. Helping is easy - just add a few extra items to your cart or order from our wishlist. We appreciate your support.
