Celebrating One Year Here
This week, we're celebrating one year at 500 Schrock Road alongside the volunteers, neighbors, donors, and community partners who helped make this incredible first year possible.
We began the week by gathering with some of the dedicated volunteers who helped open the doors to our new location one year ago. These volunteers have welcomed thousands of neighbors, stocked countless shelves, packed groceries, and helped create the warm and welcoming environment that makes the Pantry feel like home.
Throughout the week, families visiting the Pantry will receive summer fun kits to help children stay active and engaged during the summer months. These kits were made possible through the generous support of a community supporter and a ServeOhio grant. Earlier this spring, volunteers participating in a ServeOhio Day of Service came together to assemble hundreds of kits that are now being shared with local families.
We're also grateful to our local Dairy Queen for generously providing Dilly Bars to help us celebrate with neighbors throughout the week.
These activities reflect what the past year has been all about. While the new building has allowed us to provide more meals, expand programs, and serve more families, the heart of this place remains the people who make it possible.
One year here has meant more than a new address. It has meant new opportunities to serve our neighbors with dignity, expand access to healthy food, and strengthen the connections that make our community special.
As we celebrate this milestone, we're filled with gratitude for everyone who has been part of the journey. Thank you for helping us make this first year at 500 Schrock Road such a meaningful one.
